Recently my dream life has increased and flourished. There is great deal of detail and in full color, cinematography, the film quality. Someone I know stars in the role of protagonist and does quite well, his part to play. He is quite experienced and utilizes method acting to portray his character. The most difficult task is when he has to show emotion. He wonders if he should show the least amount or give into the moment. His character gives him few hints, since he is volatile yet hides his feelings. The actor decides to spend a few days alone in a cabin in the hills of Pine, Arizona where he will build a fire in the fireplace, drink in hot fluids and fast some of his meals. He wants to experience a depth inside himself that he has faltered in his own life to capture. He experiences the mountains as a catalyst. The owner of the cabin complex lends him an axe to cut his own firewood. As he does the physical labor, new memories surface as though he has done the work before. He grew up in the Appalachian woods for a short period before moving to the city of Atlanta. He had forgotten watching his father cut wood and the strength that seemed to lie hidden in the silent man. Something came to him, to release the character from his hidden memories with strength and catharsis, he would move the emotions as if they could speak versus just give in. The words came to him, the act of being a man instead of the image alone was key. He was ready to return to the work on the film. |
