Pre was back in Los Angeles to cover a sporting event. He was writing up his article for the Associated Press. As a freelance journalist he took assignments at will. He liked a variety of jobs and took his time. This job was coving a Lakers game. Basketball was an American game that fascinated him. He looked at h9is notes; even though they had lost the game was close and exciting. He went through describing the play by play. When he finished, he took another look and wondered to edit a few paragraphs, yet he liked the strange flow of words. His editor may question, but he thought he might just as well see the logic and play on words. It was a bouquet and for a Friday job finished, he felt a sign of success. He set it by email then looked at the weekly for a concert. The philharmonic might be a choice or a reggae band that was featured. He was wanting some company so he called another reporter for his plans. He had a date so Pre thought of his home. He was never alone there and thought that an evening winging it in Los Angeles would be apropos!
When he returned that next morning at 1am he noticed an envelope from his publisher. They wanted him to follow the game covering a few more Lakers game. There was a press pass with some better seating. Alongside it was an invitation to one of the player's after-party. He wanted an interview done, too.
Pre did some preparation and then hit the monogrammed pillow.
